Before looking to the future, a few words on the present
Annual questionnaires
(MOS) Monthly Oil Statistics
Every 5 years, ESWG meeting of all OECD countries in Paris to discuss needed changes in the questionnaires. Meeting in 2011.
Parallel meeting in Eurostat since our questionnaires are joint questionnaires
Participation of key organisations
After agreement by all parties, technical implementation of the changes
Changes to the annual oil and gas questionnaires lead to changes to monthly questionnaires.

Energy Statistics will be one of the key topics on agenda of the next IEA Ministerial meeting in November 2013
The IEA is also more than ever committed to working with countries and organisations, and improving global data transparency
The energy world is changing dramatically and rapidly, so the need for more international cooperation for building a cleaner and more secure energy future
