Who we are#plumfamily

Mrs. Debbie Livsey is a seventh gradepre-algebra teacher at Oblock Junior High School. She is a graduate of the Plum Borough School District and has been with us for 22 years.

Debbie’s favorite part of her job is seeing students' grades improve because she sees it as students understanding the lessons being taught.

Her advice to students and colleagues: “Find common ground or a positive aspect of each student and colleague.”

Cool Fact: She and her husband both graduated from Plum High School the same year!

There were certain teachers who made learning easy and adventurous for Mrs. Livsey. For instance, she had a trigonometry teacher who was extremely smart and made the lessons smooth and understandable. The teacher talked to the class as though they were on a math journey together.

One Last Thing: Her parents and parents in-law are still Plum residents.
