Greenwich SquareHas supermarket but remains permeable

Bromley Town CentrePlanning application: ‘In line with move toward increased leisure activity within town centres…replacing retail units with cinema, restaurants and cafes’ (Government High Streets Policy:

Town Centres have 20% too much retail )

Is there Workable Alternative Finance

Yes!

• St Modwens and Other Developers: Mostly fund using Joint Ventures and Borrowing

• ‘Good design increases footfall’• ‘Diversity of retail, leisure, culture increases footfall’ (Diversity)

Southampton Council Town Strategy: ‘successful retail environments work on the principle of a good circulatory flow’ (Permeability)

• Once in a lifetime opportunity to create a Great Town Centre which gives the community of Lee and surrounding areas a meaningful place to gather and meet their everyday needs
