The word annotation comes from the Latin root not/nota, which means “to mark or sign.”
You will be marking the textAnnotating text also helps you with your own
writing. By understanding what McBride does to make his essay strong and powerful, you will be able to make your own writing more powerful.
DIRECTIONS:
Attach the handout to the upper left-hand corner of “Hip Hop Planet” to serve as a reminder of what you are to do.
