DESCRIPTION
An edition of four 4”x6” books. The material used: inject prints, masking and duct tapes, yellow neon highlighter, rubber stamps, homemade stencils, paper cut-out, acrylic gesso, markers, and tissue. Every page is filled with personal elements derived from abstract childhood memories and stories that me and my family share. I am telling and re-telling a story through these books although only for a limited audience. Only a selection of people remembers the familiar scent of the baby oil on one of the pages, only a few remembers the yellow, cheap-looking handbag that my mom left under the taxi seat during our first trip to Jakarta, the saint-like childhood friend who barely talked, the 200 Rupiah coin we used to buy a handful of lollipops with.
