A task based learning system that combines systematic instruction with location based technology.

For people with learning difficulties and their work coaches in work environments in colleges and businesses.

Developed by National Star in partnership with Hatch

What is the need?

• Support for trainees with memory and sequencing difficulties

• Enabling greater autonomy in the workplace

• Enabling work to be completed consistently and accurately

• Building confidence and self esteem

What does it do?

• Delivers sequential instructions to a tablet when near a task beacon

• Allows tasks to be created and edited on location

• Provides instructions as speech enabled text, pictures or video

How does it work?

• Tasks are created and stored via a web-based dashboard

• Tasks are paired with beacons located in task areas

• As a user nears a beacon the task is downloaded to the tablet

• Tasks can be allocated per trainee or per task area

How does it work in pictures?

Enabling trainees to complete routine

job tasks independently

Tasks are sequenced as pictures, text or video

and access settings such as voice or background

colour can be individualised

Tasks are designed using an intuitive content

delivery platform and paired with beacons
