Idea Generation

Films want ideas and concepts they believe to be bankable.

Books – popular books and similar to previous success can include comic books as well.

They may also look at genres to see what is doing well and mimic these films so as to capitalise from their success.

Franchise – they may also be looking for films which would allow for a franchise to be created.

Job Roles

Job Roles

DirectorProducerWriter ( story and screenplay)CinematographerComposer

You should identify at least who did these job roles on the film you have selected.

www.imdb.com

IMDB

If I were to research Dark knight using IMDB, I could find the all the following information.

Cast

You will also need to identify the cast

Funding

How was the movie funded.

Hollywood films are paid for by a studio, which will then sell distribution rights for the film or distribute it themselves.

You can find this information on IMDB as well.

Who paid for it and how much?
