Oxygen is the Most Important “Nutrient”
Aerobic versus Anaerobic Metabolism
· Healthy cells operate on aerobic (oxygen-based) metabolism
· Most harmful microbes and cancer cells are anaerobic (fermentive metabolism)
· The body uses oxygen to destroy unhealthy cells · Healthy cells protect themselves from oxygen
through antioxidants
Oxygen and Toxicity • Insufficient oxygen at the cellular level
causes incomplete cellular metabolism • Carbon monoxide and lactic acid form • Carbon monoxide prevents hemoglobin
from picking up fresh oxygen (resulting in lower metabolism and body temperature)

• Lactic acid in the system clogs nerve pathways, causes calcification and degeneration
• Without oxygen toxins will not be eliminated and will get deposited in fat. The blood also starts to carry a heavy load of toxins and lymphatic stagnation occurs.
Because of 100,000 plus environmental contaminant
dumped into our atmosphere over the last 50 years, our atmospheric oxygen levels have been reduced in some major industrial cities from
21.9% to under 10%.
Oxygen Therapy · Increases energy levels · Strengthens the immune system · Improves concentration and alertness · Enhances uptake of vitamins, minerals, amino
acids, proteins, and other important nutrients · Benefits respiratory and allergy-related
conditions such as asthma, sinus infections, and upper respiratory problems

Oxygen Therapy Has Been Shown to Help:
• AIDS • Arthritis • Athletic injuries • Fractures • Chronic fatigue
syndrome
• Candidiasis (and other fungal infections)
• Cancer • Herpes (and other
venereal diseases) • Hepatitis
• Mono • Periodontal disease • Circulatory disease • Cardiovascular
disease • Diabetes • Infected wounds
• Gangrene • Burns • Colitis • Psoriasis • Almost all skin
disorders
A nurse who works in medical research said to me, "It's so simple. I don't know why I never thought of it.
When we're working with cell cultures in the lab, if we want cells to mutate,
we turn down the oxygen. To stop them, we turn the oxygen back up."

"Lack of cellular oxygen supply is probably the most common cause of cell injury and may also be the ultimate mechanism of damage.”
—Robbins and Cotran (W.B. Saunders), Pathologic Basis of Disease
H+ H20 OH-
Acid Neutral Alkaline
Respiration and pH
Getting more oxygen into the body through increased respiration
neutralizes excess acid
Deep Breathing
• Relieves pain and reduces inflammation
• Alkalizes the pH • Centers the emotions and calms the
nerves • Pumps the lymphatics

Abdominal Breathing
• Practicing deep breathing immediately reduces your stress response and helps you stay “grounded”
The Diaphragm
Instant Stress Reduction Technique
• When you find yourself getting stressed, stop and think, “this is not a good way to breathe.”
• Take a deep breathe in while thinking “I am…”
• Exhale deeply thinking “…relaxed” • Repeat until you feel calmer

Deep Breathing
• Breathe in and out through the nose • Count your breaths (in-2-3-4,
out-2-3-4) and gradually extend the count to 10 or more
• On exhale, force as much air out of your lungs as you can before inhaling again
• Practice deep breathing at least once per day and it will start to become automatic
Hiatal Hernia • The stomach and joining
section of esophagus slide up into chest area through the hiatus (opening in the diaphragm).
• Inhibits movement of the diaphragm and creates shallow breathing
Correcting a Hiatal Hernia
• Take lobelia and warm water first thing in the morning and allow stomach to “drop”
• Massage downward from solar plexus to relax stomach and open breathing
