The goals of University Studies:

• develop students' communication skills, both oral and written• encourage students to think

creatively while gathering, analyzing, and evaluating information to reach logical decisions

The goals of University Studies:

• familiarize students with the roles and applications of science and mathematics toward resolving problems in an ever-changing world• gain a critical understanding of the

world's historical, literary, philosophical, and artistic traditions

• understand the dynamics of cultural diversity, of competing economic and political systems, of social responsibility, and of complex moral and ethical issues

ENG 105 may NOT be a first-semester course in your program. Many programs prefer students to take this course in the spring.

All Honors students MUST take at least one Honors seminar per semester until the Honors Sequence is completed.

Honors Program: Inform your Advisor

that you are in the Honors Program as soon as you arrive for advising!

Test Scores and Placement

• Placement scores are in your Summer O Booklet and on record with your Advisor.

• Pending scores will be delivered after this session.

• You will be advised based on the scores that are available today.

• Your Advisor knows what courses you need to succeed!

• Most students may register for up to 19 hours

• MINIMUM is 12 hours/semester for full-time status (12/semester will not get you to graduation in 4 years!)

Undeclared students will need to determine an AREA or MAJOR by 45 credit hours.
