There is a rush to install the solar lamps and this is done by the users and the conditions at the site are challenging in most of the cases. The surface where these are mounted can be flammable !!! Example Coconut /Banana leaf roofs……….

• This gave a rise for more products to adopt IEC standards and be eligible for the African market.

• The Standards have helped in bench marking the products and its performance in line with the IEC Standards.
