•Maintain a text only version at all times

•Learn to use headings (styles) and to add alternative texts for images

•Prepare for alternative formats: captions, transcripts and large print.

Topic #4: Creating & Delivering Accessible Presentations

•Ensure readability, usability, & participation for everyone•Speak clearly•Use simple language•Be visible•Use microphone•Describe visuals

Topic # 5: Preparing Materials for Web Pages

•Text is clearly written and easy to read

•Provide text descriptions for all images

•Avoid pages that flicker

•Design forms that all users can fill out

Topic #6: Accessible Meetingsand Events

• Ensure freedom to move and be positioned comfortably

• Provide access to audio– use microphone, sound system

• Arrange for good visibility• Verify strength of internet connection• Arrange for individual accommodations• Inform guest presenters and support them

•Captioning for video presentations•Materials available in text only format•Provide statement/instructions on how to access alternate formats•Resources: Accessibility at UVM, Center on Accessible Distance Learning, Georgia Tech Distance Accessibility Guidelines
