Adverbs of frequency are words that
describe how often one does something.
ADVERBS OF FREQUENCY
1. Peter always has milk for breakfast.
2. Aldous usually eats chocolate.
3. Paul never eats fish.
4. I seldom drink juice.
5. Joseph rarely eats his vegetables.
6. Occasionaly you use too much salt.
ADVERBS OF FREQUENCY IN SENTENCES
1. An adverb of frequency goes before a main
verb (except with the verb ‘to be’, in such a case it
goes after the verb ‘to be’).
2. Some adverbs of frequency can also be used at
the beggining of the sentence (usually, normally,
often, frequently, sometimes, occasionally).
3. We can ask about how frequent something
happens by using ‘How often...?’.
