• Schedulinganadvisingappointmentonbehalfofastudent• Changingthestatusofanadvisingappointment

1.SchedulinganAdvisingAppointmentonBehalfofaStudent

Navigation:After logging in toCampusSolutionsnavigate toSCIEnhancements>AcademicAdvising>AdvisingAppointments>CreateStudentAppointment

SearchfortheStudent:YoucansearchforastudentviatheirSID,CampusID,orName.Youmayinputoneormorecriteriaforyoursearch.

Youcanusethedropdownoptionstospecifyhowyouwouldliketosearchforspecificcriteria.

ClickSearch.

Choosethecorrectstudent:

Ifyousearchwiththestudent’sSIDyouwillautomaticallybetakentotheappointmentportal.

Ifyousearchforastudentbynamealistofstudentsmatchingyourcriteriawillappear.Clickonthestudentforwhichyouwishtocreateanappointment.

YouwillbetakentotheAppointmentSelfServiceportalwhereyouwillbeaskedforinformationaboutthe

appointment.IfatanytimeyouwouldliketogobackclicktheCreateAppointment backarrowinthetopleftcorner.ThisbringsyoubacktotheCreateStudentAppointmentpageinCampusSolutions.

Toscheduletheappointment,firstselectthe1.AcademicAdvisingcategory.

2.Collegeand3.AdvisorTypewillautomaticallypopulatewiththecollegeanddepartmentofthestudent’sdeclaredmajor.Ifthestudentisundeclareditwillpopulatewiththeircollegeand“CollegeAdvisor”astheiradvisortype.

NOTE:Fillthisinformationinwiththecriteriaoftheadvisorthatthestudentwillbemeetingwith,notthestudent’sowninformation.Thiscriterionwillbeusedtomatchthestudentwithavailableadvisors.

Youwillthenneedtochooseanappointmentreason.

NOTE:Reasonswillvarybydepartment.

Next,selecta1.DurationTimeand2.Appointmenttype.Thedurationtimesavailablewilldependontherestrictionsofthespecificadvisor’sunit.Someunitsonlyallow30mintimeslots;otherswillallowyoutochoosebetween15,30or45-minutetimeslots.TheAppointmentTypesavailablewillalsovary.AnadvisorcanchoosetotakeInPerson,Phone,SkypeorGoogleHangoutappointments.

YoushouldalsoaddanyAdditionalInformationthatyouwouldliketheadvisortohave.Forexample,sinceyouareonlyabletoaddoneappointmentreason,youmightlistotherappointmentreasonshere.

ClickSelectAdvisortobetakentoalistofadviorswiththematchingcriteria.

Thispagedisplaystheavailabletimeslotsforeachadvisorwithmatchingcriteria.IfnoadvisorsmatchyourcriteriayouwillneedtoReturntoMainpageandtryadifferentinput.Youcanreviewtheadvisor’sinformationatthetopofeachblockoftimeslots.Inthisexample,OskiAislistedfirstbecauseheisthestudent’sassignedadvisor.

YoucantogglethroughtofuturedatesbyclickingNextDays.

Whenyouseethedesireddate,clickthearrowstoseetheadvisor’savailabletimesforthatday.Onceyouhavechosenthedesireddateandtime,clickSelectTime.

2.ChangingtheStatusofanAdvisingAppointment

Navigation:From Campus Solutions, navigate toSCIEnhancements>AcademicAdvising>AdvisingAppointments>ViewAppointment

SearchfortheStudent:Searchforastudentthewayyoudidwhenmakinganappointment.Thereareafewadditionalsearchcriteriayoucanuseforviewinganappointment:AppointmentID,AppointmentDate,AppointmentStatus,AcademicAdvisorID,orAdvisorName.

EnteroneormoreofthesearchcriteriathenclickSearch.

Alistoftheappointmentsthatmatchyourcriteriawillshow.Clickontheappointmentthatmatchestheappointmentyouarelookingtomanage.

ManageAppointmentStatus:Fromhere,youcanCheckInthestudent,Canceltheappointment,ormarkthestudentasNoShow.

WhenyoureturntotheViewAppointmentpageyoushouldseethatitreflectsthechangeyoumadetotheExistingAppointment.
