Atharva is one of the fastest growing, educational brand
in India which is a blend of continuous innovation and
global benchmarking. The objective of the Atharva
Group of Institutes is to create ‘industry ready’ youth
who can be gainfully employed upon completion of
their courses
Our outstanding progress by creating world class
infrastructure consisting of a sprawling educational
campus with green cover which is a landmark.
Our focus is on Research, Technology & Innovation.
I am overwhelmed by the progress made by the
institution at various levels – academic, cultural and
sports. The noteworthy experience of mine is the
standard of discipline and the uniqueness that the
students and parents have established in the Institution
Dedicated teachers, sophisticated equipments, sincerity
and punctuality proven our merit and I am sure that in
years to come the institution will surpass many
established existing institutions.
In addition we have several diversifications, the
primary of which is the IT park which will be a
challenge to accomplish and achieve. I urge every
Atharvite to make efforts to take the brand to newer
heights. Let us make our ATHARVA the best in
professional education in the world.

Joint Degree Distribution Ceremony
The Fourth Joint Degree Distribution
Ceremony of the students of Atharva College of
Engineering, Atharva Institute of Management studies
and Atharva College of Hotel Management and Catering
Technology was held on February 23, 2019 in
Auditorium, phase 3, AET Campus. The chief guests
were Dr. K. G. Narayankhedkar chaired the event as
Chief guest. Dr. S. P. Kallurkar, Principal, (ACE), Dr. P.
N. Nemade, Director (ACE), Dr. Sujata Pandey,
(Director-AIMS), Mr. Joseph Furtado, (Principal-
ACHMCT) were present for the Ceremony. The
ceremony started by Ganesh Vandana and lighting of the
lamp. More than 450 students were conferred the
Certificates. The ceremony concluded with vote of
thanks and National Anthem.
Seminar on Innovation Lab
Seminar on Innovation Lab was conducted for
SE, TE students on 15th January, 2019 by Prof.
Tanu Sharma and Prof. Deepthi Sekhar to
provide them awareness about software
resources available in I Lab for enhancing their
innovation and creativity skills. This session
introduced students to various software to
simulate their brain which will act as a catalyst
for students to make innovative projects and will
lead them to path for budding Entrepreneurs.
The session was successful in motivating
students towards innovation and creativity.
Visit of Dr. K. G. Narayankhedkar as a
Distinguished Visiting Professor under the
scheme of AICTE-INAE DVP
Dr. K. G. Narayankhedkar visited ACE campus
as a Distinguished Visiting Professor under the
scheme of AICTE-INAE DVP during January
16 to 18, 2019. His mentorship helped each
faculty member at ACE discover new avenues
and improvised ways for Student development,
Project review and sponsorships along with
teaching learning process.
During his 3 days of visit the following
activities were done viz F.E faculty meet, visit
to different laboratories, student development
program on "How to write technical paper, B.E
project title review and sponsorships and
Faculty Development Programme on "Teaching
Learning process”.

Parent’s Teacher Meeting
Parent’s teacher meeting was conducted for students
of second year Electrical Engineering Department.
The meeting was conducted with respective Batch
Mentors about student’s attendance and their
performances. Solutions to academic or behavioral
situations were also shared.

Department of Electronics and Telecommunication
Engineering had organized Parents Teacher Meeting
on January 30, 2019 to discuss the progress report of
students with their Parents and taking feedback for
their individual upliftment.
Department od Humanities and Applied Science
organized a Parents Teacher Meeting for FE during
February 14 and 15. 2019. 89 parents attended the
meet. A good response was noted from the parents.
The meeting was conducted to share the attendance
and overall academic and behavioral performance of
individual student.
Ember E-Cell Activities
Ember E-Cell successfully conducted a workshop on
"Introduction to JavaScript" under the mentorship of
instructors Mr.Nikhil Rao, Mr.Pranay Shah and
Mr.Prathamesh Desai. The workshop consisted of
JavaScript and its applications.
A Workshop on "CorelDraw Workshop" was
conducted by Ember E-Cell, where Ember E-Cell
students Kirtan Shirodkar and Atharva Joglekar
successfully demonstrated the aspects of CorelDraw
and its applications.
Achievements
Dr. Shrikant Kallurkar, Principal, Atharva College of
Engineering is appointed as Assessor Member Peer
team visit by NAAC.
Congratulations to Mrs. Garima Gurjar, Assistant
Prof. Electrical Engineering Department for
fostering an "Ecosystem Bridging Government,
Industry and Academia" from DST and Texas
Instrument in India Innovation Challenge Design
Contest 2018.
Mr. Kartik Mehra, Student of SE EXTC won
Gold Medal in Light Contact kickboxing and
Silver medal in Point fight kickboxing State level
championship. He also bagged a trophy in group
event of three from Mumbai Region, Third
ranking.
Ms.Trishala Ahalpara's (T.E CMPN1) authored
and published a book called "Joshua's 7 Gifts".
The story is based on friendship and suspense.
Book is currently available on the notion press.

Activities
Expert lecture on “Introduction to Power
Quality Issue”
Department of Electrical Engineering, ACE has
organized an expert lecture on “Introduction to
Power Quality Issues” by Professor Nitin Gupta,
MNIT, Jaipur on January 3, 2019 in order to offer
our students latest insights into the emerging
technologies and advancements.
Students have been introduced by latest industrial
problem that is power quality issues. After
attending this expert talk students are able to relate
between their syllabus and current industrial
demand. Students are able to understand the
fabrication and simulation model of active and
passive filters.
I-Mac lab Visit and introductory lecture on
“iOS App Development”
I-Mac lab visit and lecture on iOS App
development was organized by Electrical
Department on January 14, 2019. I-Mac lab has
been set up to impart knowledge of Apple
technologies in budding professionals and give
them a hands-on experience on the incredibly
powerful Mac OS X operating system. It will
enable students to get accustomed to the versatile
applications of Mac and iOS. The vast variety of
applications of Apple will foster their creativity
and provide a platform for them to come up with
ground-breaking projects.
Students have been introduced by Mac OS X
operating system. Students got an idea about app
building on ios platform.

Department Activities
Workshop on Development of Robotics
A workshop on “Development of Robotics” for
Second year & Third year students was organized
by Electronics department on January 23, 2019.
The speaker Mr. Brijesh Mishra, Project associate
IIT Bombay, Nevon Solutions Pvt Ltd.delivered
talk on how to burn program on to the controller
and design the different robotic application. There
were 6 team member from the Nevon solutions
along with the speaker , have shown the
demonstration of the 4 Robots to the entire
electronics students. Ms. Kavita Bani & Ms.
Sonam K. coordinated the event.
Industrial Visit at Nanotechnology Laboratory, IIT
Bombay, Mumbai.
Department of Electronics Engineering organized
an Industrial visit at IIT Bombay nanotechnology
on January 19, 2019. 58 students of TE & BE
have visited the nanotechnology laboratory along
with the faculties Mr. Niranjan Samudre & Mr.
Sarang Kulkarni. The detailed information was
given on all the equipments like ICPRIE, plasma
etcher, Thermal evaporator, dry oxidation, wet
oxidation machines as well as ion implantation
machine and annealing machine. There was x-ray
spectrometer to verify implantations. In the third
section there was a SEM (scanning electron
microscope), Sputter machine, an epitaxy machine
and another sputtering machine as well as a
powerful optical microscope.
Each of the above sections had assigned lab
members to explain about the equipment inside
the lab. Overall this visit was very interesting and
knowledgeable.
Seminar on Introduction to Indian space
program and role of optical photonics in space
technology
Electronics Department arranged a seminar on
“Introduction to Indian space program and
role of optical photonics in space technology"
for Third Year and Final Year engineering
students on January 25, 2019. The speaker Mr.
Nitesh Agrawal from ISRO Bangalore,
delivered talk on SPACE, different programs
and technologies with relevant of the
communication networking. Ms. Kavita Bani
& Ms. Sonam K. coordinated the event.
Industry visit to Supercomputer education and
Research Centre at IISc Bangalore
First Year Engineering students visited Supercomputer
education and Research Centre at IISc Bangalore on
February 8, 2019.
Mentoring Session
A mentoring session conducted as per Graduate
attributes at Atharva College of Engineering under the
guidance of our esteemed Mentors on January 28,
2019. Graduate attributes (GA) are the qualities, skills
and understandings that a student should develop as a
consequence of the learning they engage with on their
programme of study. This sense of graduation is what
distinguishes them from individuals who have not
studied at degree level and is the added value they
offer to employers and society generally.

February 12, 2019. It is one of the attribute which
industry look in an engineering graduate.

Faculty Development Program (FDP) FDP was conducted by Mr. Yogesh Khanure, (PSI)
Crime Branch BKC on the topic of "Cyber Crime
and Security" on January 7, 2019.
FDP has conducted by Ms Garima Turan (Product
Trainer, Elsevier India) on the topic of "science
Direct Platform" on February 13, 2019.
Dr Sane, Dr Mrs Karandikar, VIT PUNE and
Industrialist Mr Marathe conducted FDP on the
topic, "Process of Industrial consultancy" on
January 24, 2019.
FDP was conducted on Use and Role of AR for
Teaching Learning Process on January 14, 2019 by
Professional expert.
FDP was conducted by Mrs. Aruna Pavte on the
Scope of Machine learning on January 11, 2019.
Mr. Suraj Tripathy from Electrical department
conducted FDP on Research topic selection and
Funding on February 8, 2019.
FDP was conducted on the topic "Organic
Electronic" by Gauri Salunke.
FDP was conducted by Prof. Neha Gaisas on MAC
vs PC on February 14, 2019.
Japan Third Party Company visited Atharva College of
Engineering for Campus Recruitment 2019-2020 on
January 24, 2019.
Japan Third Party Company is a listed company on
JASDAQ (Japanese Stock exchange). Their portfolio
encapsulates services and products in ROBOTICS,
Hardware / Software development, Pharma and Human
resource development.

Department Activities
Workshop on 3D Game Designing
Department of Information Technology
organized a 2-day workshop on Game
Designing during January 24 and 25,
2019. It was conducted for the students of
FE and SE by Tech Cryptors under the
management of CSI-Atharva.
The workshop was based on Unity
software and included everything from the
very basics i.e. from installation of the
software to a professional level of
designing the layouts and adding effects.
It helped the students to learn the game
development process from the very
scratch to a valuable level in minimalistic
period of time.
Department of Information Technology
organized project competition on IoT
under the banner of CSI student chapter. It
helped students to learn the significance
of IoT and gain insights on why this
technology is becoming an integral part of
the daily learning. To encourage and
motivate the students’ certificates were
issued for the same

Department of Electronics and
Telecommunication Engineering organized
an expert talk on Industrial automation and
Industry 4.0 on January 16, 2019. The
objective is a) to make students understand
the various Techniques of Automation in
Industry and their Applications. b) to make
students aware about the novelty of the
theme Industry 4.0 related to IOT and c) to
encourage students to clear their concepts
and to develop new ideas from these fields

One Day Seminar on “Need of Electronics in
Industry”
Department of Electronics and
Telecommunication Engineering organized a
seminar on Need of Electronics in Industry on
January 29, 2019. The objective is a) to make
students know about the different opportunities
available in Industry in the field of Electronics
b) to make students explore the recent fields in
Electronics c) to encourage students to take
interests in these fields and work in various
projects related to these fields.
Mr. Sanjay Chaudhary, Director, Electronics
Study centre, Nashik delivered the seminar.
NSS Atharva (B-57) successfully completed its
Special Camp at Satkarma Shraddhashray,
Dehrang, Raigad from 28th December 2018 to 3rd
January 2019. Various activities were conducted
like streetplay, survey, career guidance etc in the
nearby villages and visited various ashrams.
B.E Project Progress Presentation
Project progress presentations were scheduled
for BE students on February 1, 2019. Students
gave presentation about the progress of their
final year projects. Respective guides of each
project groups along with the project co-
coordinators and HOD were present for the
presentation
Each Project group gave a detailed presentation
of the work they have completed in their
respective project; also many groups displayed a
video of the working model of their projects.
The students where asked various questions
about their project by the faculties present for
the presentation to evaluate their work and
knowledge about the project.
The students received valuable suggestions from
the faculties and their project guides for further
betterment of their projects. All BE students
were present for the presentation.

presentations.
Gold Rank in AICTE-CII Survey
By establishing the Institute Innovation Council
(IIC) an initiative by Innovation Cell, Ministry of
HRD, Govt. of India, Atharva College of
Engineering is proudly a recognized Innovation
Centre
The AICTE-CII survey on Industry linkage of
technical institute is one of its kind survey which is
implemented by Industry association CII in close
coordination with AICTE. It is a unique model of
public-private partnership which has been working
very well for the past seven years and ACE is
proud to be a member.

2018, Award Presentation Ceremony was
scheduled on January 21, 2019 from 11.00 am
onwards at AICTE Headquarters, New Delhi.
Faculty and students attended award Ceremony
live streamed through Facebook Link.
Awards were presented for innovative ideas in
different sectors of rural development to
encourage young innovators and to focus and
bridge the gap between rural and urban
development.
Honorable Vice President, Venkaiah Naidu
expressed his views in his speech that Innovation
should solve the social needs and focus on the
empowerment of villages through different
innovative ideas. Program was attended by
faculty members and students at Atharva college
of engineering which was instrumental in
motivating then to take up research in need based
areas.
Rhytm 2019
Atharva college of Engineering’s Annual
Cultural week was held from 10th march 2019 to 16th
march 2019. Whole event was divided into day and night
events naming Marathon, Dance, Drama, Fashion, Street
Play, Singing etc. Event was inaugurated on 10th march
at time of Marathon which had theme “Run for
Equality”. The Marathon is organized to support
Equality as a social cause so "Fight for equality, Run for
togetherness"
On 11th march street play, pubg(1v1), CR, and
drama was organized. On 12th march Neon cricket, neon
football, poetry, and Dance were held. On 13th Carom,
mini militia(5v5), Poetry and Fashion were conducted.
Singing, Live night was conducted on 14th march. Prom
was held on 15th march. Annual week winded up by DJ
night on 16th march where Ali Merchant was present.
Smart India Hackathon 2019
Total 20 teams from ACE participated and 5 teams
selected for final competition of Smart India Hackathon
2019 which will be held at various locations in India.
Prof Santosh Dodamani headed this mission.
All the teams are thankful to Hon Shri Rane sir for
continuous support and to Dr Nemade sir, Dr Kallurkar
sir for guidance.
Team members are also thankful to Prof Samuel,
HODs, faculty members and mentors for their support.

Business Mela is an event where the students can sell their

With the increasing accidents on our city, NSS
Atharva decided to work on the cause. To highlight
the importance of road safety, usage of seat belts,
helmets students of NSS ATHARVA managed the
traffic at Mith chowky with the help of posters. Thus
the event ended successfully.
Event- Waste Management Seminar

NSS Atharva organised a seminar on Career
opportunities in Waste Management and Climate
change field for the young youth of India. Mr.
Shrikant Parab was our guest speaker who is the
director of Asia Affairs Delta Group Holdings. He
shared all his experiences behind him.They were
explained the importance of segregation of Dry, Wet
and Eject waste.
EXTC Dept activities
Alumni Talk (20 February, 2019)
EXTC department organized alumni talk for TE
students. Topic was "Introduction and opportunities in
Indian Metro Railways". It was delivered by Mr.
Chaitanya Lad (2012 batch alumni). He explained brief
working of metro and also guided students about new
opportunities in the field.

EXTC Department has organised one day Industrial
Visit today at All India Radio, Malad West. 15 SE
EXTC students Learned different Analog and Digital
Modulation Transmission.
Workshop On "Skill Development Program
For Corporate World"
Department of EXTC organised 2 day workshop on
"Skill Development program for corporate world" for
TE students on 22nd and 27th Feb 2019. The students
learned about resume writing, how to prepare and
present their interview and other soft skills required for
the corporate world

BE project presentation
Department of EXTC successful conducted Final
Internal BE project presentation on 18 and 19 March
2019 . BE students demonstrated their projects in
presence of HOD and respected project guides along
with other EXTC faculties.

Department of EXTC have organised one day

organized a Guest lecture by speaker Awab Habib
Fakih ,PhD Research Scholar (VTU) on April 10,
2019. The topic for lecture was "Exploring project
ideas" for TE students.The objective of lecture was to
make students aware of the various domains in which
they can work for their final year projects . Session
was on idea generation , process to make your idea a
product in market. The students were asked to
brainstorm on the problem statement.

Industrial visit at Sage Automation
Electrical Department has organized an
industrial visit at Sage Automation , an Australian
Company deals with PLC and SCADA on March 1,
2019. Students learnt about the industrial automation in
multiple sectors with practical implementation. TE 49
students along with faculty Mrs Sangeeta Kotecha and
Mr. Suraj Tripathi got the real time exposure of
automation.
Visit To 'Maharashtra State Load Dispatch Center'
Department of Electrical Engineering have organized
one day visit to 'Maharashtra State load dispatch
center' to attend sessions on Real time and SCADA
on March 23, 2019.
It was great learning for our students in the real time
SCADA system and outcome of this visit may help
students to get internship and they gain the knowledge.

Short Term Industrial Training at L&T
Department of Electrical Engineering organized a Short Term
Industrial Training for Three Days for S.E Students in L&T
Madh Jetty. Students learnt to implement Automation of
various industrial applications based on Programmable Logic
Controller and hands on industrial practice of various Power
Electronics circuits.

Department of Electronics Engineering has organized Parents-
Teacher Meeting on February 25, 2019. Positive response was
received from the parents. Meeting via Video Conferencing

Department of Electronics Engineering has Started Bridge
Course on “VLSI Design and Career Opportunities” for
Third Year students on February 28, 2019. Objective of the
course is to familiarized students with research areas and
Opportunities available in Industry. Bridge course speakers
were Prof. Kishor Bhosale and Prof. Sonam Kandalgaonar.
Live session On wiziqxt by alumni
Electronics department had organized a virtual class for TE
students on March 9, 2019. This session was conducted by
Karan kantharia, alumni of ETRX. The topic was
introduction to electric and autonomous vehicles . Around
45 students were present for the session
Online session was delivered by Aishwarya Wahane ,
ETRX alumni of Atharva college of engineering on March
23, 2019. Currently she is working in Fidel technologies,
Japan. The topic for the session was " An approach to AI
and Data science ".
Industrial Training At L&T Madh Campus
Electronics department has arranged 3days industrial training
on Power Electronics & PLC SCADA for 25 students at L&T
Madh campus during 18-20 March 2019.
Electronics department has arranged one day Industrial
visit at Bisleri International pvt. Ltd Andheri, Mumbai
on March 22, 2019. Visit was attended by students of SE
and TE Electronics Engineering along with Prof.
Niranjan Samudre and Prof. Kavita Bani.
Virtual class on “MS in US” A Virtual class on “MS in US” for Third year and final year
students of Electronics department was conducted on April
1, 2019. The speaker was Mr. Dhaval Padia, Alumni of
Atharva college of Engineering, currently working with
Cummins INC, Electronics application Engineer, US. The
session was for set of questionnaire regarding studying
abroad which students had asked for prior. A total of 25
students were present for this Virtual class on WizIQ
platform.

Parent Teacher Meeting
Department of Computer Engineering conducted PTM
for SE, TE, BE on 13.03.2019. During PTM, mentors
interacted with parents about attendance, term test 1
marks and overall performance of their ward.
Placement as well as importance of internship was also
discussed with parents. Had very good response from
parents and they appreciated the efforts taken by the
college and faculties in developing the career of their
ward.

The Department of Computer Engineering has
organized a seminar on “Changing Perspectives” by
Ms. Ruta Pathak for faculty members on March 15,
2019. It was fun filled activity based session with
rewards.

Today department of INFT organised PTM for SE and TE
students, where parents interacted with the mentors or class
in charges & discussed about attendance, important of
internships, placement process and overall performance of

Visit to ‘Flexiloans Technologies'
Department of Information Technology have organized one
day visit to ‘Flexiloans Technologies' to attend handson
sessions on data science by Bigdata Mumbai Community on
March 16, 2019.
Students got opportunity to share innovative ideas with other
industry experts. They got chance to communicate with
other professionals from IIT Bombay. IT personalities have
also asked atharva students to showcase their projects related
to data mining. 05 groups from our college have presented
and got suggestions for further improvements. Other groups
from St zaviers, IIT Bombay have also showcased their
projects. It was great learning for our students in the domain
of datascience and outcome of this visit may help students to
get some internship or atleast they can be intouch with all
industry experts for getting suggestions in the respective
