It is spring...isn’t it? Just remember, consistent warmer weather is (hopefully)ahead. So get out your planner because wehave plenty of activities coming your way inthe month of May!
This past month was busy per usual as wewelcomed baseball and our beloved Tigersback into our living rooms. It was fun watchingthe opening day game on the big screen! Ourbus trips from last month also did notdisappoint as we went out to Sandi’sRestaurant for Lunch, Outback Steakhouse forDinner, and quite a few ride outs as well.
Looking forward to this month, a few thingsjump out of the schedule, such as our Cincode Mayo Lunch, a Wii Bowling Tournament, and additional ride outs. Please note that wewill be riding in our bus for the JenisonMemorial Day Parade this year on the 30th! Somuch fun! Be sure to check out the MariachiBand and the Harmonica Traditions with JayDean for this month’s entertainers as well.
As the weather turns from cold and rainy, towarm and sunny, we encourage all of you toget outdoors and enjoy the weather and all thejoys this month has to offer. We hope everysingle mother at Allen Springs has a wonderfulMother’s Day on May 8th!

ATTITUDE Adjustments That RaiseGod Honoring ExpectationsBuild a monument to faith
moments
My most favorite stories as anadult are the faith stories myparents told over and over againthat shaped who I am. The benefitof retelling stories of God’s power isthat remembering faith momentsprompts us to have more faithmoments. This then raises ourexpectations and increases hopefor the future.
Gideon, in the Old Testament, was fearful of his enemies. An angelof the Lord then appeared toGideon and the exchange isrecorded as follows.
23 But the Lord said to him,“Peace! Do not be afraid. You arenot going to die.”
24 So Gideon built an altar to theLord there and called it The Lord IsPeace. To this day it stands in Ophrahof the Abiezrites. Judges 6:22-24
This faith moment was soimportant to Gideon that he wantedto make sure neither he nor futuregenerations would ever forget thatThe Lord Is Peace.
What faith monuments are youbuilding and stories are you retellingabout the power of God in your life?
