5. DISTRICT MOVING TOWARD STANDARD BASED ASSESSMENT.

PARAMETERS FOR DEVELOPMENT

BASED ON THE CURRENT STATE AND NATIONAL STANDARDS.

BENCHMARKS FOR EACH STANDARD ARE LISTED FOR KINDERGARTEN, FIRST AND SECOND GRADE, THIRD AND FOURTH GRADE. (NASPE OUTCOMES PROJECT)

EACH CRITICAL ELEMENT HAS PERFORMANCE INDICATORS TO QUANTIFY THE CHILDS’ PROGRESS TOWARD BEING PHYSICALLY EDUCATED. THESE PI’S ARE LINKED TO THE RUBRIC.

THE RUBRIC CONSISTS OF B, N, M, AND +. THE B STANDS FOR BEGINNING TO MEET THE STANDARD. N IS NEARING THE STANDARD. M IS MEETING THE STANDARD. + IS EXCEEDING THE STANDARD

EACH BENCHMARK HAS CRITICAL ELEMENTS FOR SUCCESSFUL PERFORMANCE.

ALL CHILDREN . . .RISE EASILY TO THE COMMON LEVEL.

THERE THE MASS STOP;STRONG MINDS ONLY ASCEND HIGHER.

BUT RAISE THE STANDARD,AND, BY A SPONTANEOUS MOVEMENT,

THE MASS WILL RISE AGAIN AND REACH IT.
