DESCRIPTION

This is a short outline about ISIS.

TRANSCRIPT

AFFIRMATIVENEGATIVE

INTRODUCTION:-Describe the current situation.

-Enumerate the cruelty of ISIS towards other nations.

-Cite examples of how other countries tried to stop/cease the operations of ISIS

-Relate it to the power of Saudi Arabia

-As an alternative, try to relate the history of the ISIS to Saudi Arabia

-Say strongly that ONLY through SAUDI ARABIAs economic, social and cultural power will the ISIS be stopped

ARGUMENTS:1. Necessity- Why is it necessary for Saudi Arabia to use their power?- Characterize that Status Quo is so grave and this is the ONLY solution to solve it.

2. Beneficiality- What will the Saudi Arabia get after this?

-What are the benefits to the society?

-What are the benefits to the international community?

CONCLUSION In concluding sum up all the arguments you have given and reiterate your stand.

INTRODUCTION:-Describe how powerful the ISIS is.-Illustrate that if Saudi Arabia intervenes, there would more conflicts

-Illustrate that it should be more of a collective effort from the international community rather than a single state.

-Impose as a threat that with Saudi Arabia exhausting all of its resources, it will be detrimental to the state per se and the welfare of its allies.

ARGUMENTS: 1. Non-Necessity - To respond to the affirmative, state that this measure is not necessary for Saudi Arabia to take because there is more harm than good.

- Is this really the option that will curb the violence of ISIS? Say NO. State that this is only a stance that is too risky for Saudi and the whole Intl Community

2. Non-Beneficiality- Say that it would not achieve anything, it will only make them retaliate more rather than provide threat.

- They might attack several states if this happens

CONCLUSION In concluding sum up all the arguments you have given and reiterate your stand.

Check the paper I sent you, check the HISTORY OF ISIS on PAGE 5.

Check page 12 of the paper, there you will see the US and UKs intention to threat the ISIS. You may as an alternative say that it should be the US and UK who will be exhausting the resources to combat ISIS.
