Anatomy Experience:Analysis of Alan Dancing

Introduction

• The muscles listed are concentrically contracting to produce these movements. The muscles that are eccentrically contracting are the antagonist muscles (e.g., for abduction, the eccentrically contracting muscles are the muscles listed to adduction).

• Most images were taken from the IFA Essentials and from the YouTube clip “Alan dancing” (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-WcP0JkMHV8). Muscles were found in the class notes from MoveSci 230 with Dr. Anthony Drew, with the exception of the muscles listed under anterior/posterior pelvic tilt, which were found by making educated guesses and checking Wikipedia.
