Notes: 1. *These values may be increased by 1/3 for wind or seismic loads.2. All other loads are controlled by concrete strength. Stated loads are based on unreinforced
nomal weight concrete with f'c = 3,000psi (20.7 MPa). These loads may be increased for higherstrength concrete using the factor of
up to a maximum of 5,000 psi (34.5MPa).
3. Check interaction using the formula:
4. All load capacities are based on use of 2 bolts in anchor channel, with bolts spaced at 3 to 6inches (76 to 152mm) centers, and include a safety factor of 3.
5. Pull-out loads shown are worst-case off-center loads [i.e. when extreme bolt is 1" (25mm) fromend of anchor channel].

HALFEN spot inserts provide economical nominal adjustmentfor window or door frame anchoring. They are a more practicalalternative to cast-in ferrules or drilled-in anchors. Toothed spot insertsare recommended to prevent slippage of load along the anchor.

For wooden forms, simply locate the HALFENAnchor Channel in the correct position, then nailthrough the pre-punched holes in the back of thechannel into the form.
For steel forms: (sometimes used for precastpanels), pre-drill two small holes through form, locatethe anchor channel then secure using 2 self-drillingscrews (TEKS or similar) from the outside. Removethe screws before stripping the form.
INSTALLATIONINSTALLATIONINSTALLATIONINSTALLATIONINSTALLATION
ANCHORS for GLAZING
For metal pour-stops, pre-punch a slot1/2" (12 mm) shorter than the lengthof the anchor channel, and the samewidth as the slot in the face of theHALFEN Anchor Channel.
Position the Anchor Channel over theslot in the pour-stop. Tack weld 2 or 3places along top edge and once at eachend as shown.

Nylon lock nuts may be used instead of the regular hexagon nuts providedwith Tee-bolts. They are self-locking and can be used where floatingconnections are required, or where positive locking of the nut is required.
Flange nuts are flanged hexagon nuts with teeth on the flange face.Flange nuts may be used instead of the regular hexagon nuts providedwith Tee-bolts, to prevent slotted clips from slipping under load.
