Ancient Chinese Medicine

By Sameer and Izzy

DescriptionDeveloped medical

practices based on the yin yang

Disease is when yin and yang are out of balance

Acupuncture could restore the balance

Herbal cures and dietary practices can prevent diseases

How did this help China? It was an important part

of Chinese society and helped developed the culture

It helped keep people healthy and even if it didn’t actually help it gave them peace of mind.

Chinese medicine was one of the first transitions from shamans and spirits to actual physical medicine.

Modern RelevanceBreast and colon cancers are not as common

in china; many doctors believe this is because there is less fat in the Asian diet

Acupuncture and other medical practices are still used to this day
