Why are certain animals considered pests?

• Because they: • Damage propertyoCrops/feed• Food • Even livestock• They can even carry disease that can

harm people and animals.

How are animal pests controlled?

• Can be controlled by:

• Destroying their habitat• Encouraging natural predators• Shooting the pest• Trapping the pest

How are animal pests controlled?

• Poisoning the pests with pesticides is also an option.

• Choosing the pest control will be determined by the legal status of the control measure, the cost, and the effectiveness.

What Pesticides are used?• Pesticide- any chemical agent that kills

unwanted weeds, fungi or animal

• Rodenticides- pesticides that kill rodent pests such as mice and rats.
