Subject Florida Department of Environmental Protection Agreement 14ME1 - Amendment #2 - Anna Maria Island - Manatee County Shore Protection Project Briefings None Contact and/or Presenter Information Charlie Hunsicker, Director X6001 Action Requested Authorization for the Chairman of the Board to execute Amendment #2 to Florida Department of Environmental Protection Agreement 14ME1. Enabling/Regulating Authority FS 125 Background Discussion

Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Agreement 14ME1 was executed by the Board on September 24, 2013. The project consisted of the placement of sand on the federal portion of Anna Maria Island due to the impacts of Tropical Storm Debby.

Amendment #1 to FDEP Agreement 14ME1 was executed by the Board on December 16, 2014. The amendment extended the agreement completion date to December 31, 2017, with no cost increase.

Amendment #2 extends the agreement completion date to December 31, 2020, for the required 3 year monitoring period upon completion of the project with no cost increase. Funds within the agreement are being re-allocated among various tasks.
