Tips for Time Management

• Setting Goals: Set at least one major goal a day and accomplish it.

• Make sure the goal is clear.

Tips for Time Management

• Make a plan: – Make a to-do list every day. Don’t just make a

random list, consider time limits and when it needs to be accomplished.

– Make a weekly plan on Sunday nights. Ask yourself what you need to accomplish by the end of the week and figure out when and how you will do it.

Tips for Time Management

• Be realistic about your time:– Think about how long it should take to do

something– Set time limits for things; use a kitchen timer if

necessary– Don’t discourage yourself by planning out huge

chunks of time you will never use (i.e. “I’m going to study for history for 6 hours this weekend!”)

Tips for Time Management

• Crisis Management: Eliminate recurring crises from your life. Figure out what keeps going wrong and identify why it keeps happening (why do you forget every vocab quiz? Why do you keep forgetting your English homework?)
