COTC Update Two
OurdiscussionshavecontinuedtobecentredaroundthecurrentAPAministryuseofourbuilding(allagegroups)andwhatourneedsmightbeinthefuturegivencurrent&projectedchurch&societal trends. Wehavealsolookedatacoupleofarticles*whichhavecausedustoaskmanyquestionsofourselves[chosenfordiscussionpurposes but not indicative of our preferred course of action]. WhatwearediscoveringisthatthewaychurchisdoneinNorthAmericaisundergoingasignificantchange.This“shift”meansthatwe,thecongregationofAPA,mustconsiderthemeansbywhichwearepresentingtheGospeltoourcommunitythroughthe local church. -HowhasAPA,asacongregation,effectivelyutilizeditsfacilitiesthroughout its history?- Is our current church building appropriate for or necessary to meetingtheneedsoftheChurchofTomorrow?- Could our current church ministries function without the facility that we now have?

Summer DVD Series: This summer we are happy to have BillHalefacilitateaDVDseriesintheFiresideRoomafterthemorningservices(startingJune22).
Last summer we ran a series called “StrategicTrends”(madein2010).ItwasaDVDseriesbyDr.ChuckMisslerthatcreatedconsiderableinterestatAPA,andwasamazinglyaccurate,despitebeingthreeyearsold.Wehavehadrequeststoshowitagain.SothissummerwewilllookatthelatestDVDseriesbyChuckMisslerandseveralassociatesentitled“StrategicPerspectives,”recordedlastfall.
Topicswillinclude:- The Christian challenge for the years to come-MiddleEastupdate—theNittyGritty- The Impact of Islam-WhenGoddisciplinesHisown-CanAmericaendurethecomingyears?-TheDeadSeaScrolls,Prophecy,andtheNewTestament-Arewereallyintheendtimes?
