CREATING NEW AVENUES OF LEADERSHIP & LEARNING
“Only as high as I reach can I grow, only as far as I seek can I go, only as deep as I
look can I see, only as much as I dream can I be.”
Karen Ravn
Education today in the 21st century has moved beyond textbooks and classrooms and
has become more holistic. We, at Apeejay School, Pitampura try to hone the essential
life skills through various learning opportunities provided to the students.
INTERACT CLUB:
The school has a very active Interact club where stress is laid upon igniting the human
values and understanding towards fellow human being and to develop a sense of
understanding, care, concern, empathy such that the world becomes one family. The
pandemic year also did not deter their instincts to serve the society.
MASK MAKING AND AWARENESS PROGRAMS
The young interactors did their little bit by distributing
the masks and hand gloves in their locality. The
motivational dances and poems were also made to start
discussions on some subjects that need to be discussed
especially in the COVID-19 era. The students learned
important values of munificence and sharing.
CARE FOR ANIMALS
The Lockdown in the country had brought the stray
animals at the brink of starvation. Keeping the situation in
mind, the interactors have taken the initiative where the
students are feeding the hungry stray animals just by
keeping a bowl of milk or water and some food outside
their homes as to spread the message „Care For Everyone‟.
KARGIL DIWAS
Our interactors prepared a moving video
message on the anniversary of KargilDiwas.
The people were touched to the core and
were encouraged to step up to task of serving
the nation, directly or indirect.
E-RAKHIS
The interactors send rakhis along with heartfelt messages to the soldiers every year on
the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan. This year too, even amidst the pandemic,
the tradition continued. The students expressed thankfulness and admiration for the
beloved brothers who are standing strong on the borders, to protect us always.
UPASANA SCHOOL
The interactors are conducted regular zoom classes with special students from
Upasana School. Playful, interactive study sessions motivated those children to
perform better in their day to day lives.
TREE PLANTATION
Interactors of the school were encouraged to plant a
sapling in the gardens of their homes. The drive received
massive results and innumerous students throughout
the school came forward and did their bit for the nature
by planting a sapling and keeping a promise of nurturing it throughout.
ANTI CRACKER CAMPAIGN
To create awareness about the deteriorating state of our environment and to stress
upon the disadvantages of burning crackers, students of our Interact Club conducted
discussions and anti-cracker campaigns in school zoom classes. The campaigns
proved to be a resounding success with in numerous students changing their opinions
about bursting crackers and pledging not to burst them.
CYCLING CAMPAIGN
Interactors also conducted a cycling
campaign in which awareness was spread
about the SOPs to be followed always in
these pandemic times. In addition, anti-
cracker slogans were also raised. The
campaign encouraged people to take out a
minute from their busy lives to rethink
about their everyday practices and habits.
NUKKAD NATAK
A virtual nukkadnatak was prepared by the interactors reiterating in a vivid manner,
on the need to stop bursting crackers and to protect the environment for our own
sake. The nukkadnatak was able to spread the message to the masses and bring about
a significant change.
VISIT TO VILLAGE (PURKHAST RATHI, NEAR
GANNAUR, HARYANA)
Interactors visited Purkhast Rathi village and spread
awareness among young children about personal hygiene,
social issues and importance of education. They shared the
videos to sensitize young minds.
JOY OF GIVING
We all know how great it feels to receive
gifts. Our lives are richer when we share,
and that great inner joy comes from helping
others to better their lives. Truly giving from
the heart fills your life with joy and
nourishes your soul. Giving provides an
intrinsic reward that‟s far more valuable
than the gift. As Mahatma Gandhi said, “To find yourself, lose yourself in the service
of others.”
Team Apeejay Pitampura with its Interact Club extended a helping hand by donating
some old furniture to Utkrisht Kanya Vidyalaya. This gesture brought so much joy to
the little girls who were till now sitting on the floor in their classes. They sent a big
thank you. Our interactors were happy to spend time with them.
