5.CANBUSSERIALCOMMUNICATIONINTERFACE
APPLICATOIN CIRCUIT
FEATURE
a. The schematic above is a part of CAN BUS serial communication interface. To increase the anti-EMI ability
of the BUS nodes, in the circuit SJA1000’s TXD and RXD didn’t connect to 82C250’s TXD and RXD.
Rather it connected to 82C250 after passing 6N137. This realizes isolation perfectly between all nodes on
the CAN BUS. Just be sure the two power of 6N137 Vcc and Vdd be isolated, otherwise the photocoupler
losses its effectiveness.
b. It is recommended that the isolation between Vcc and Vdd be DC-DC power modules because modules
restrain surrounding EMI effectively, eliminate ground loop and protect the circuit system free interference
from outside circuits.

FEATURE a. The schematic above is an application of 3652 used in ECG monitor system. The circuit uses a connection
method with balanced input. It has a high common mode and differential input impedance, which reduces common mode noise caused by imbalanced cable impedance, which is very common in monitor equipments.
b. Due to DC-DC module G1515S-1W, 3652’s ground wire that contacted with patients is completely isolated from that of input power source. In addition, 3652 allows continuous 2000VDC isolation voltage between input and output side, and 5000V nonperiodic pulse voltage, ensures patients’ safety. In this circuit, Mornsun’s 6000VDC isolation products is highly recommended. (its isolation capacitance is very low, less than 10pF)
