5 BATTERY CHARGE
Urban Clouds S.L. provides a 4400 mAh rechargeable battery inside Appmosfera. The charge-
control circuitry integrated in the device ensures proper levels of charging current at all times.
The way the battery is handled will affect its useful life. Be careful not to use Appmosfera for the
first time before completely charging the battery. The total performance of the battery will only
be reached after performing several charge-discharge cycles. A completely charged battery will
work for approximately 20 hours.
In order to properly charge Appmosfera, connect the MicroUSB cable to the device side connector
located for this purpose. If the connection is rightly performed, the side battery charge indicator
LED will turn red. Once the charging process is finished, the LED indicator will turn blue. Do not
forget to carefully unplug the MicroUSB connector to avoid any damage. Never connect a
MicroUSB cable that exceeds the levels of the USB standard.

7 DATA RECORD AND UPLOAD
Appmosfera device is able to record measuring points of every sensor/parameter every 3
seconds.
There are two uploading data possibilities:
1) Using mobile data:
The application uploads data through the network that the smartphone user is connected
to, either WiFi or mobile data. The second option will consume data from the user data
fee, and it can be avoided following the instructions provided in the next section.
2) Using WiFi:
To exclusively perform the data upload using WiFi, the following steps shall be adopted:

If the “WiFi only data upload” is selected, it has to be taken into account that data will be stored
in the smartphone memory. The application will automatically try to upload data when detecting
a WiFi connection, however there is a possibility that it may not succeed. In this case, data is kept
stored in the smartphone. To delete this data, an option to manually perform the upload is
included, which is advisable to use periodically. The uploading data process may take some time,
thus it is recommended to perform it at home, when the user is not using the application. It is
essential to be aware that, in the event of storing a great amount of data in the smartphone, the
application may slow down. Such undesirable effect is mitigated using the previously mentioned
function.
