– Held 3 workshops: • Anxiety, Depression and Suicide• Bullying:  What Parents Need to know and How to Stop it• Emerging Drug Trends – this included participation by 2

quadrant members  

– Used Quadrant Members to distribute Talk Sooner materials at 6 Parent Teacher Conferences.

– 2 Quadrant members attended one event at Baldwin Street Middle School promoting Talk Sooner

– 10 parents attended the Anxiety and Depression workshop • This workshop was held before evaluation tool was created

– 30 parents attended the Bullying workshop • 100% learned one consequence due to youth risk behavior • 88% intend to use the information they learned to talk to their

– 18 parents attended the Emerging Drug Trends workshop • Evaluation data will be available at a later date

• Remaining Projects and Next Steps– Quadrant on a Prescription Drug Abuse

prevention hand out for pharmacies.– Discussing alternative ideas for Family Dinner. 

Parent Engagement • Activities Accomplished

– Created Talk Sooner Packets to be distributed to all caregivers of Project Charlie Students and Total Trek Quest participants.

– Collaborated with the Quadrant groups on the parent workshop series.  Participation in the workshop increased significantly.

– Developed 2 newsletters– Presented 2 workshops on Emerging Drug Trends at

the Parenting Awareness Conference.
