Surfing infrastructure 04Located in the north coast of Gran Canaria, San Andrés is a famous surfing beach that has been threatened by uncontrolled urban growth in recent years. There is a lack of free public space and there are no quality accesses to the beach. SeekingSeeking for solutions, the project creates a safe beach access for surfers and beach goers and provides new facilities, including surfing boards storage, public changing rooms and showers.TheThe proposed community hall is extended to the outside, creating this way a new public space in the neighbourhood. The design has been developed according to the small scale of the town, taking advantage of unused and abandoned spaces and giving them a new use.
