Meet Laura. Laura incorporates stunning botanicals - many straight from her Vancouver Island garden, in her range of luxurious bath products.

She is a member of the Nanaimo Bar PopUP shop, and is set to unleash her artistic genius and thrive!

Meet Fiona.Her local artistic claim to fame is upcycling three Boeing 737s worth of plane-seat leather into Aviator Dopp Kits.

She generated over $5,000 in her Etsy store in three months under her MODO marketplace brand.

Arts & Culture ...is one of the fastest growing employment sectors, ranking 4th of 17 Vancouver Island economic sectors;

...workforce is distinctive having significant employment in both 55+ and >25 age groups; ...workforce is well educated, ranking 3rd of 17 sectors in degree holding; and self-employment is common;

...incomes rank solidly in bottom half of all sectors.
