November 2019 President’s Message:

Fall is finally here! It has been nice with cooler weather the pastfew days. A few of the members went out to Earl G. WilliamsonPark on October 17th for a Plein Air picnic. The weatherwas great! There was a lot of picture taking and a few peopleeven set up to paint. It was a fun time and the hamburgers, chips anddip, and banana pudding made it worth the drive. Thank youBeverly Maleby for organizing the event.

A big thank you, Judy Horn, for an outstanding presentation at ourOctober meeting. Our members enjoyed painting on the glasswareyou supplied to our group.

Our December meeting will be our Christmas Party and installationof new 2020 Board. Please mark your calendar for December 9th.We will have refreshments, games, entertainment and fellowship.Also, there will be an art related gift exchange for those whowant to participate.

Thanksgiving is around the corner. I would like to wish all of youa safe and Happy Thanksgiving.

Artist extraordinaire, Judy Horne, gave anin-depth, hands-on, demonstration for paintingon glass. Using Folkart Enamel paint andsynthetic brushes, she paints front to back,applying 3 coats of paint and warned neverto paint on surfaces that come in contact withfood. A detailed handout was appreciated.
