Ashley  Falls  PTA  Presents

The Great Cake DecoratingContest Friday, April 19th

Calling  all  CAKE  DECORATORS! Are  you  a  great  cake  decorator?  If  so,  get  out  your  apron  and  start  baking!  It  is  that  time  of  year  for  you  and  your  children  to  mix  up  a  creative  cake  that  will  be  special  enough  to  win  a  ribbon  at  this  year’s  Spring  Carnival.  Entries  will be  judged  and  then  used  at  the  Cake  Walk  Booth  for  the  carnival.

Contest Guidelines: Submit  a  homemade  cake  in  any  shape  and  decorated  any  way  you  like.  Cakes  will  be  judged  based  on  the  creativity  and  appeal  of  the decoration  in  eight  categories.  Cakes  must  be  submitted  in  disposable  packaging  (boxes  preferred).   Cake  plates  will  not  be  returned.  There  is  also  a  category  for  made  by  an  adult,  for  all  those  ultra  talented  parents  who  would  like  to  submit  a  cake  or  cupcakes!    Winners will be picked in each of the categories below:

Sports                School Spirit  Cupcakes Earth Day Spring

Made by an adult Animal inspired Princess theme 2013 Judges: Terri Alper, Vicki Wehrley, and Principal Chris Delehanty

Cakes  must  be  dropped  off  at  the  MUR,  where  entry  forms  will  be  available,  between  7-‐8  am  on  Friday,  April  19th.  Judging  will  begin  immediately  after  the  bell  rings,  and  the  winners  will  be  chosen.  Both  winners  and  participants  will  be  presented  ribbons.  There  will  also  be  special  awards  for  the  top  winners  in  each  category.  All  students  will  be  invited  to  join  their  teachers  in  a  walk  through  the  MUR  to  see  all  the  cakes  and  winners,  throughout  the  morning  of  April  19th.  All  cakes  will  be  used  as  prizes  at  the  Spring  Carnival  Cake  Walk  on  Sunday,  April  21st.
