takes (yourself/others)
● Beat the maintenance clock● Beat the chronological clock
TYPES OF ASSESSMENT
OCSOA utilizes several types of assessments:
● New (for those new to OCSOA)
● Upgrade (desire higher level games)
● Maintenance (ensure standards)
● Blind (when performance is questioned)
● Play-Offs (ensure officials represent OCSOA's best)
NEW
Assessment on either dual or diagonal system
Pre-season, tournament, or regular season games
Verbal feedback following the matchFee included in new membership Dues
UPGRADE
Grade-dependent, either dual or diagonal system
Most likely regular season gamesVerbal feedback followed by written reportFee paid by official
Purpose is to ensure: referees are appropriately ranked
provide schools with competent officials
Periodically assess our high-level referees (100-300) Assessor fee paid by officialResults in upgrade, maintain, or downgrade
MAINTENANCE
BLIND

Exclusively for Play-off/Final’s teams from each unit
