The Risk Management Priority Number (RaMP) is calculated as C x R x P. To determine the overall probability of failure value, P, use either: 1) The Condition Rating, P1; or 2) The sum of the four probability factors, P2, P3, P4, and P5. To determine the overall consequence of failure value, C, sum up the nine consequence factors, C1 through C9. The redundancy factor R is 1 if there are redundant assets and 1.5 if there are not. See the following pages for further detail on the determination of the individual values for probability and consequence.
