Representation of social groups:Monarchy:Contemporary media coverage of the monarchy has focused positively on the details in their lives. The media has turned the Queen and the royal family into a soap opera.
Upper Class:Media tends to focus and celebrate the hierarchy and wealth. Those who benefit from these processes e.g. The upper class, receive a positive image through their representation in media.
Middle Class:The middle class are over-represented on TV dramas and situation comedies.
Working Class:The media label the working class as a problem, e.g. as welfare cheats, drug addicts or criminals.
