OurfourthCALhonoursthemenservingintheNewZealandforceswhowereawardedtheVictoriaCross,theEmpireshighestawardforbravery.TheCALwasissuedonthe24thJuly2018,100yearsa`erRichardTraviswonhisVictoriaCross.TraviswastheonlymanfromtheOtagoRegimenttobeawardedtheVictoriaCross.Anorderformisincludedwiththisnewsle[er.

'Josephine',theTrain,istheprominentfeatureintheJosephineFoyer.ShewasoneoftwoDoubleFairlielocomoWvesbroughtfromEnglandin1872andbeganhercareerontheDunedin-PortChalmersrailwayline.Hersistertrainwas'Rose'.JosephinelaterworkedatotherlocaWonsthroughoutthecountrybeforereturningtoOtagotoworkontheconstrucWonofthe'CentralOtagoRailwayLine'.ShewasreWredfromservicein1917andsenttothescrapyardin1920.Sheavoidedthescrapheapand,sincethela[erhalfofthe1920s,hasbeenondisplayattheMuseumFoyer.
