At the Restaurant

Johnny is meeting Orlando for lunch at the restaurant both of them have been out meeting clients and have decided to

meet for lunch to discuss the prospects of selling the

products of their company

Hello Orlando. I am glad you were able to come. Did you get my message?

Hello, Johnny. I’m sorry I’m a bit late. I

got your message about meeting you for lunch just as I

was leaving for my appointment with the builder of Trump. I couldn’t get away

any earlier.

Don’t worry. I haven’t been waiting long.

Where would you like to sit? Shall

we sit in that corner?

Yes. It will be quieter over there.

How was your day?

Quite successful. But very tiring.

People are interested in our products but are

hesitant to switch over to

something new. I was wondering

whether…

Before we get involved in a deep

discussion let’s order something

to eat.

Good afternoon. What would you

like to order?

Orlando, what would you like to eat? A soup to

begin with ?

No, thank you. I don’t think I’ll

have soup. I’ve never been here before, so I don’t know what their specialties are.

Would you like some chicken

curry?

Let me see. Waiter, are the prawns fresh?

Yes sir. Absolutely fresh. Why don’t you try some fried prawns with Chinese fried

rice?

That is a good suggestion. Let’s

have a Chinese meal.

All right, you order, Johnny.

Right! Let’s have a plate of chicken fried rice, sweet and sour

prawns and an American chopsuey. Orlando, would you like mushrooms or bamboo shoots?

No, thank you. What you’ve

ordered is more than enough.

What about something to drink? An orange juice or a

lemon juice or…

I’d love to have a soda

That’s good. Waiter, a soda drink for the gentleman. And a fresh lime juice for

me. And please serve us quickly. We haven’t much time.

Right sir. It won’t be long.
