ATOTO A6 System Firmware Update Guide Before starting downloading system firmware for update, please kindly check if your current system firmware version is up
to date. If yours is same as, or even later than the system version released on our website, please do not run the update, as
it will not make any change to your system.
1.1 Download the ATOTO A6 System Firmware from Adrive.com:
1.2 Download the ATOTO A6 System Firmware from Dropbox.com:
2. After the “update.zip” file is downloaded, copy it to a MicroSD /USB Drive.
Remember not to extract or uncompress this file, even though it seems like a
compressed file.
3. Then connect this external storage device to ATOTO A6 and there will be a
new window prompting out.
Select the “Update OS firmware” Option and click UPDATE
Be aware that this firmware update will not erase or delete your personal data generated previously. Always check
the update guide carefully as some firmware update file may include erasing user data during update!
4. The system will automatically copy update firmware into inner storage (But the
external storage device should not be taken away at this stage) It may take 30 seconds to 2 minutes for copying files.
5. System will run firmware verification step. It may take 2minutes to 5 minutes
Then it will try to execute partial factory data and restart
This step will take 45 seconds to 2 minutes to finish. It will not erase user data at this step.
6. System will run firmware update for 10 - 20 minutes. Please be patient!
7. Then system will restart and go on update and finally finish update.
8. The A6 may still scan the external storage device and prompt a window for
user to select update or not. In such case, please just cancel and exit this
window, and take away your USB drive or MicroSD device. Or else you are just
re-do all these steps above.
Make sure the A6 has stable power supply during system firmware update steps.
Or it will interrupt the update bring the product to be a brick (dead one)
To verify if your system has been successfully updated, enter system settings and
check if the Build Number version has been updated to the latest one.
