After graduatingf r o m B a l l a r d H i g hSchool, Shara was award-ed a Presidential Scholar-ship to Centre College

where she graduated in 2001 Summa CumLaude with a Bachelor of Arts in teaching andwas Phi Beta Kappa. In 2002, Shara receivedher Master of Arts in teaching from SpaldingUniversity. Her dedication to nurturing indi-viduals to their fullest potential first lead her toa high school teaching career, later broaden-ing into a career helping businesses focus onmaximizing human potential.

Shara developed her musical talent to virtuo-so level serving as an accompanist for her highschool, college, and church choirs, while alsoplaying in school bands and orchestras.

Two life philosophies guided Shara: the firstwas from her pastor, Reverend William Slider:"Make sure thy center first, then strike thy cir-cle 'round." The second from her belovedgrandfather, Louis B. Strong: "Pick up thepieces when they crumble."

Shara was the beloved wife of John RussellDavisson and treasured daughter of Sherleenand Thurman Lee Sisney. She is survived bynumerous family members and friends. Sharais greeted joyously in Heaven by her belovedgrandparents, Louis and Eileen Strong and herNanny, Daisy King.

A celebration of Shara's life will be held at 2p.m. Friday at Christ Church United Method-ist, 4614 Brownsboro Road, Louisville, 40207.Please join us for a reception in the fellowshiphall at the church after the service.

64, passed away suddenly at his home inSlidell, LA, on Saturday, February 25, 2012.

Mr. Lord was born on August 16, 1947 inNassau County, NY, the son of the late Lau-rance Lord and the late Peggy Jane MachlinLord.

For the past 28 years, he has been the be-loved husband of Roxanne Galatas Lord.

Jeff earned a B.S. in Marketing from Merri-mack College in Andover, MA and wastrained in Strategic Market Management atHarvard Business School. For thirty-fiveyears, until his retirement, he thrived in the in-dustrial coatings business. In 1983, his em-ployment brought him to South Louisiana. Hefell in love with Louisiana culture and withSlidell native Roxanne Galatas, who he mar-ried in 1984. Business opportunities led thecouple to Kentucky, where they lived for 22years, both in Louisville and Georgetown. Jeffobtained his private and commercial pilot li-cense in 1985, and enjoyed flying around thecountry with Roxanne in their Piper Cherokee.He traded in his airplane in 2002, and he andRoxanne continued their travels by Harley-Davidson Electra Glide. Jeff was also an avidgolfer, a past-time he enjoyed with his broth-er-in-law, Geoffrey Santini, and his late fa-ther-in-law, Clarence "Nuni" Galatas. Uponhis retirement in 2009, out of love for Louisi-ana and to be near family, Jeff and Roxannereturned to Slidell, where they intended to liveout their lives together.

Born June 24, 1949 in Oakland, CA, she wasraised primarily in Seattle and Monterey. In1982 she met Charlie, later became a dentalh y g i e n i s t a n d m a d e h e r h o m e i nMonterey/Santa Cruz area for 25 years. Theymoved to Louisville in 2007.

Her faith, family, friends and animals wereher devotion. Joannie and Charlie were exam-ples of true love and companionship, whicheased the emotional struggles of her disease.Joannie supported her children in every im-portant aspect of life, assuring them of theirworth and greatness. She embraced her sons'significant others and thrilled over her 3grandchildren Connor, Jayda and Jacob. Sheloved animals and spent many hours ridinghorses with friends. She attended San Agus-tin church in Scotts Valley and St. Bernadettein Louisville, making many friends in eachcommunity. She had strong faith, believing inthe power and strength of Christ's love.

All who knew Joannie feel a tremendous holeleft by her absence. We are filled with memo-ries of her smile, laugh, love, energy and abil-ity to befriend even strangers. Our world wasbetter because Joannie was here.
