An Angel Surprises MaryAn angel told Mary, “You’re the special one.God has chosen you to give birth to his Son.”

Mary and Joseph Go to Bethlehem “Let’s travel to Bethlehem now,” Joseph said.So they packed a bag for the journey ahead.

Pretend you are going on a journey. What will youpack in your bag?

No Room at the InnThey were tired and weary from traveling all day,But in Bethlehem there was no place to stay.

An innkeeper showed them his stable and said,“You can rest here. There’s straw for a bed.”

Pretend to lie down and go to sleep on the straw.

Jesus Is BornThe animals saw such a wonderful sight.Jesus was born in their stable that night.

Mary was thankful and filled with great joy.God blessed the world with this new baby boy.

Can you say “thank you” to God for sending Jesus?

Shepherds in the FieldsOn hills above Bethlehem, shepherds and sheep Suddenly awoke from their peaceful night’s sleep.

Pretend you are a shepherd. Stretch and yawn like you are waking up.

The sky filled with angels who started to sing,“Born in a stable is Jesus, your king.”

They ran through fields and they ran through townTill they reached the stable and gathered around.

Let’s Go!

At the StableWhen they saw Jesus that first Christmas morn, They shouted for joy, “Our Savior is born!”

Clap your hands and shout for joy like the shepherds.

For God loved the

world so much that he gave his only Son.

John 3:16

And theshepherds told

others what the angelshad said.

Luke 2:17

The Star AppearsWise men from the East saw a star far more brightThan any they’d ever seen lighting the night.

Following the StarThe wise men said, “It’s a sign from afar. Our king has been born. Let’s follow that star!”

Stand up tall and pretend to point to a star.

In JerusalemThey came to King Herod’s palace to seeIf this was the place where the new king might be.

Pretend that you are in the palace. Search for the new king.

“He’s not in the palace,” King Herod replied. So off they went with the star as their guide.

In BethlehemWhen the star led them up to a small cottage door,They knew they would not have to look anymore.

Special GiftsThey honored the boy with gifts of great worth,And bowed to the king of both heaven and earth.

Pretend to be a wise man. Kneel down to honor king Jesus.

Jesus said, I am the Light

from God that has

come into the world.”
