Over the years, there have been many extraordinary people involved with the Tree Foundation as board members, sponsors, volunteers, advocates, and members. As we look “Back to our Roots”, we must especially thank our original tree heroes, the founding board members of the Sacramento Tree Foundation: (not pictured: Jean Runyon, Ray Tretheway, Supervisor Roger Dickinson, Phil Isenberg) left to right: Jane Hagedorn, Angelo Tsakopoulos, Ann Kohl, Illa Collin, Mayor Heather Fargo, Linda Budge.

Summer Tree Care Tips
Chuck Ingels, UC Cooperation Farm Advisor, demonstrates how to set a “smart” irrigation controller.
Drip irrigation and mulch help to conserve water.
Deep but infrequent watering encourages deeper roots for lawn and trees, enabling them to thrive longer between waterings.
