O’Connor Stop will be a surface-level stop located between the Victoria Park and Eglinton Square intersections, accessible from both ends. O’Connor will be one of five stops located within the Golden Mile commercial district, and will be the nearest stop to the Eglinton Square Shopping Centre.

BACKGROUNDER: O’CONNOR STOP
TIMELINE
CONSTRUCTION INFORMATION
• Construction began in 2017 with utility relocations and the removal of medians down the centre of the roadway.
• Work on excavation of the guideway (the dedicated transit lane) began in late 2018, with the first concrete pours in early 2019.
• The stop will be completed in 2020.
KEY FEATURES• Two fully-accessible side platforms with level-boarding
on the east side of the intersection• Automated Presto payment machines on the platform• Next vehicle arrival screens to inform riders of their
expected wait time• All stops will be equipped to handle trains coupled
together into three-car groupings• Heated panels within platform floors to melt ice and snow• Covered waiting areas featuring benches, platform
illumination and a passenger assistance intercom
• To make room for the stop’s platforms and guideway, medians were removed in the area and Eglinton Avenue was widened.
• Underneath and within the guideway concrete are a series of conduits that house power and communication cables for line operations.
