Born in Tarragona 1858 - 1917 was an architect.He graduated in 1881, being chair of Geodesy and geometry 1888 1895 in the University of Barcelona, and a member of the Royal Academy of Sciences and Arts of Barcelona 1883, who later presided over 1914. Modified elements of the classic styles created a unique style, away from both the eclecticism and the modernism of his time, but well accepted by the mainstream media. Author of several publications, as the Treaty of geometry or architectural Modernism 1911.

He studied at the School of Architecture of Madrid and was director of the Provincial School of Architecture of Barcelona since 1871, joined in 1840 in Barcelona Llotja School and devoted to the study of Catalan medieval monuments. He graduated in architecture in 1848. In 1887, the mayor of Barcelona Francesc Rius i Taulet commissioned the construction management of the Universal Exposition of Barcelona in 1888.
