BASIC ROBOTICS WORKSHOP

WELCOME

ABOUT ME

• Working for 2 years in ROBOMANIPAL, the official robotics team of MIT. Represented MIT in the top 12 teams of India at ABU ROBOCON.

• Active participant and winner of various technical events in MIT – trebot, image processing, 555 timer, mars rover, arduino hackathon, etc.

ABOUT ME

• Interned at Fracktal works, a 3-D printer research and business start up.

• Interned at Sirena Technologies. Worked on Humanoid-Machine interface, Simulations and Android Development.

• Working on a Mining Surveillance and Survey Robot with NIT-K for the last 6 months.

DEFINITION

A robot is a reprogrammable, multifunctional manipulator designed to move material, parts, tools, or specialized devices through variable programmed motions for the performance of a variety of tasks.

1. A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.

2. A robot must obey orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.

3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
