In November 2011, Miss Mayhew went to Kenya

Church on the Rock School – Nairobi slum

Sunshine home for street boys in Kenya

The team climbed Kilimanjaro to raise funds for the schools in Kenya

Sustainability:• We have learnt from our

partner countries about the importance of water, not wasting energy and how our school can be more sustainable.

• We have set up our own garden area and plan to grow our own fruit and vegetables.

Paper Mache pots

• We learnt the technique of how to make paper mache pots from our African partners. We mashed up newspaper and soaked it over night in water. We then moulded it into a pot shape.
