Blast fishing is a type of fishing that involves dynamite or homemade bombs being thrown into the ocean where a school of fish (or a high number of fish) are assumed to be.
When the bombs explode underwater the fish die and float to the surface and this allows the blast fishermen to collect their catch.
Bombs used to be made from unexploded shells left behind from World War 2.
Should blast fishermen be allowed to use this method of fishing?
Should the people who carry out this activity be punished?
