Learning

Have an easier start!

Think over…Learning and learner?!

Teaching?!Studios of a Teacher?!

Her/his materials?!Tools?!

Strategies?!

Why this paper?

…Every teacher is assigned with certain plans and objectives those have to be achieved after effective teaching, mentoring, facilitation and evaluation. It had better approach the problems in a scientific way by inculcating the advancements and proven successful practices of teaching and learning so as to maintain specified standards in learning.

What sort of Panacea works for an ideal teacher?!

Blending…Blended learning represents a repertoire of proven instructional processes for knowledge and incoming information, which facilitates learning and problem solving. An array of approaches which are meant for internalisation by students of limits of behaviour, patterns of behaviour that are carried out, and sequences of activities that have been established in the past is the core of blended practice.

How to become specific?

The presenter is going to deal…

To evolve a better meaning to blended learning.

To review what the previous experiments and treatments comment on this strategy.

To substantiate how far blended practice act as a scaffold to artists and materials of the

school- teachers and the taught.

Before going to Blended One…

It is a strategic combination of methods.

What constitute the strategic combination of methods? How is such a combination possible? Is it blending and combining in a creative way?! How does blended practice work in a dedicated classroom? Will it help in making the teaching joyful and learning a wonderful activity? Which are the associations included in blended practice? What type of teacher role is dominating here? At what stage the so called ‘artist’ gets the powerful role? Do we need a focused training in this emerging strategy for teacher-student exercise? The study unquestionably answers such problems and issues in a meaningful way.

What does it denote, the blended?

It is…

A model that can include online instruction, mentoring led supports and various sources of media- print as well as electronic.

The Evolved?!

Blended learning is thus can be defined as a fruitful effort in integrating live classroom activities including face-to-face instructions along with online learning and instructions so as to reap the maximum benefits by utilising the best elements of all through effective planning by an ideal facilitator.

The modes of Blending

Blend of objectives.Blend of theories of learning.Blend of different contexts and situations.Blend of different media according to objectives.Blend of work along with learning events.Blend of structured events with unstructured

ones.Blend of individualised learning with live

learning.

Y the Blended?!

the blended approach could be universalised among the studios of education so as to reap the maxima in terms of terminal behaviour in which teacher has a stupendous role...

Y?

Kagan (1992) states that a teacher has to consider teaching from a number of interrelated perspectives to improve teaching learning endeavour. Blended practice gives a chance to teachers to experiment with online as well as other modes of content delivery

The merits

Osguthorpe and Graham (2003) pointed the following six reasons behind the designing

and use of blended learning.

Pedagogical richness.Access to knowledge.

Social interaction.Personal agency.

Cost effectiveness and Ease of revision.

Blended learning is beneficial for our teachers and students in many ways. It increases the level of active learning strategies, peer-to-peer learning strategies. It is always learner centred in nature and thus ensures live participation of students.

Graham, et al; 2003Sklar, 2005

Mc Clure, 2007Chen and Wang; 2008

Xu; 2009

Unanimously argues for a better blended paractice

What the presenter needs to..?

It is a wonderful idea to relive overcrowded classroom

It warrants an inspiring experience to the student folk which would be rich in nature

Blended practice ensures effective way for students to learn and collaborate

It ensures the increases student engagement; the motivation lends a hand

It ensures a dynamic and flexible learning plinthIts technology enriched characteristic raises the

levels of motivation among both teachers and students.

With live classroom activities technological support for a richer approach making use of hyperlinks and communications options, allow students to range freely across the content and then the mastery with full exposure. Blended learning paradigm gives many special new roles to learners other than active participants. They can work as mentors, facilitators, team organizers, negotiators and even information generators.

It is highly crucial that the teacher remains in control as the person who creates the course programme, meets the learners, interprets the learning materials and sharpens the course. Since he/she is the person to shape the growing generation a strategic teacher has to take into account the relevant strategies needed for the effective learning and training in the classrooms, where the focused attempt is being done to achieve the global demands of the society in which teachers have an active role as social engineers.

Taking into account the benefits of blended practice, which may work as a panacea to most of the ill practices in teaching learning endeavour a successful teacher should streamline his/her design to lead the student folk to achieve the maxima.

I am sure, aren’t I?!…

Online+ Face-to-face≠ 3

i.e; 1+2≠3

That is always more than...
