BIOMASS TO POWER PLANTS

WASTE TO CEMENT KILNS AND POWER PLANTS

INTRODUCTION TO THE INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITY

MORE THAN 200 WASTE REFINING AND

BIOMATERIAL HANDLING REFERENCES GLOBALLY

In addition to over 50 Tyrannosaurus® waste refining plant deliveries, BMH Technology has delivered c. 150 biomass fuel handling plants around the world

Most of the reference plants are located in Europe, but new international references are developing every year

Tyrannosaurus® waste refining plants

Biomass fuel handling plants

The TYRANNOSAURUS® SRF Process turns waste into high quality SRF ( Solid Recovered Fuel ).

Power Plants Cement Kilns

SRF Users

• MSW / Domestic waste• Industrial waste• Commercial waste• Scrap tyres• Textiles and bigbags• Plastic films• Waste paper and

archives• etc.

Any combustible waste is a raw material:

Why fuel quality is important

PROBLEMS FACED IN COMBUSTION WITH BAD QUALITY

SOLID RECOVERED FUEL

• Halogen compounds, for example chlorine and fluorine - amount in fuel stream should not get high high-temperature corrosion

• Alkali metals, potassium, sodium e.g. should not get high dirt and slag grab to boiler

• Certain metals that melt and vaporize in high temperatures, like metallic aluminium, zinc and lead grab to superheters

• Stones, glas, nails and suchlike disturb burning process and ash removal• Flue gas emmissions no problem with good quality solid recovered fuels

How to produce good quality SRF-fuel

1. Correct particle size in one passwith low power consumption- Sophisticated knife profile- Zero Gap® cutting technology

2. Even material flow with optimal capacity- Load controlled pusher system- Integrated feeder

3. No breakage of knives => Guaranteed!- MIPS® (Massive Impact Protection System)

Unique features of TYRANNOSAURUS® Shredder

Separating results of SRF production

MSW 100 w-%

Metal ~ 3 w-%

Reject 0-2 w-%

SRF ~65 w-%

Heavy fraction, air

classifier ~ 25 w-%

Fine screen reject

~ 5 w-%

SRF advantages:

• Standardized high quality fuel

• Low fossile CO2 emissions

• Locally produced fuel

• Solves waste problems

• Cheapest high quality fuel

SRF is a Standardized Fuel

SRF is a Standardized FuelGlassification system of CEN/TS 15359

Typical plant example: Waste to Electricity Solution
