Starting from November 22nd, heavy rainfalls are affecting the North West of Italy,particularly the region of Piemonte and Liguria. The bad weather conditions and thepersistence of precipitations have caused the increasing of hydrometric levels of all the riversin particular in the Basin of Po River. Resulting floods have induced damages and difficulties:cutting roads, mud deposit, and vehicles destruction; as a precaution population has beenevacuated.The present map shows the flood delineation in the area of Bra (Italy). The thematic layerhas been derived from post-event satellite image using a semi-automatic approach . Theestimated geometric accuracy is 3 m CE90 or better, from native positional accuracy of thebackground satellite image.

Products elaborated in this Copernicus EMS Rapid Mapping activity are realized to the bestof our ability, within a very short time frame, optimising the available data and information.
