manuale).

To sign A close hand naturally in a fist form.

To sign B open palm and fold in thumb to touch your palm.

To sign C simply curve your fingers to form aC shape.

To sign D fold in all fingers and point index finger out.

To sign E gently close hand and fold thumb inwards.

The elephant game

To sign F point all fingers out and bring down index finger to touch thumb.

To sign G naturally point with index finger to the side.

To sign H point index and middle finger to the side.

To sign I fold fingers in and point out your pinky.

To sign J fold in all finger, point out your pinky and pretend to trace a J.

To sign K point out index and middle finger, then fold in thumb in between those fingers.

To sign L fold fingers in, point out thumb and index finger to form a L.

L is for Lion

To sign M fold all fingers in, then tuck thumb underneath three fingers.

To sign N fold all fingers in, then tuck thumb underneath two fingers.

To sign O curve in fingers to form a closed O with thumb and index finger.

To sign P bend hand down to the side. Point straight out index finger and curve thumb to

touch middle finger.

To sign Q close hand downwards. Point down index and thumb.

To sign R fold fingers in, point out index finger along with middle finger. Slightly bind

index finger in front of middle finger.

To sign S close hand and a fist form. Place thumb on top of index finger.

To sign T close hand in fist form. Place thumb underneath index finger.

To sign U fold fingers in. Then point out index finger along with middle finger. Both those

fingers should touch side by side.

To sign V fold fingers in. Then point out index finger along with middle finger. Both those

fingers should not touch to form a V shape.

To sign W point out fingers. Then fold in pinky with thumb to touch each other.

To sign X close hand and slight curl up index finger.

To sign Y fold in fingers. Then point out thumb and pinky.

Y

To sign Z fold in fingers. Then point out index finger to trace a Z form.

Now that you’ve learn the Sign Language Alphabet, practice spelling your name.

The only letters that require motion are J and Z.
